Weird or not, all of that work I did last week has paid off. I lost a total of 3.4 pounds, putting me at 301.2 pounds in total. For the first time in… well, forever, really, I’m almost under 300 pounds.
I have severely mixed feelings about this. Obviously, I’m incredibly excited about the progress I’m making. I’ve lost 117 pounds, after all. But, at the same time, I am feeling completely impatient. I’ve only got 2.2 pounds to hit my next benchmark, after all. 2.2 pounds separates me from being under 300 pounds for the first time I can remember since high school. I can’t wait.
Except, of course, that I can. I can certainly stick to my plan, stick to my exercise and calorie count goals. I can do this right. Because, as long as I do, I should hit that goal by this time next week.
Waiting is hard, though.
